<BR>this mushroom has fairly disappeared in germany, it was just too popular to be collected and fried.
<BR>in german it´s called "braetling" wich means "a frie" / "fritto" - one of the rare examples of mushrooms being named in order to their usage.
<P>das wäre doch mal eine nette sache für das forum: eine aufstellung von pilzen, deren namen mit ihrer verwendung korreliert ( nicht mit merkmalen).
