: Hi Richard,

: I have made that mistake already. Here you fndet but a bibliography.

: The stem of G. pedicellatum is longer (by Dörfelt). Both species are rare,
: but G. ambiguum probably still less so. Both are part way into an affinity
: group. Perhaps both are the same? The best way would be to send something
: Mr Dörfelt.

: Best regards Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your advice. I don't think my specimen is like G. pedicellum, but I am not sure why you think G. pedicellum = G. campestre. For instance mine looks quite like the one at http://www.floreoleron.fr/fiche_champi_v2.php3?nom_genre=geastrum&nom_espece=campestre or the one at http://www.google.fr/images?q=geastrum+campestre&hl=fr&client=firefox-a&rlz=1R1GGGL_fr___FR357&prmd=iv&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi. By the way, the best book I have on earthstars is Courtecuisse; I am just searching on the internet to find out about them.

Would Herr Dörfelt be interested if I contacted him? If so, how could I do so?

Regards,
Richard
